Ram Cheerla

Ram's passion for physiotherapy comes from cricket. Having played county level cricket and representing his district in cricket, he suffered many injuries during play and was amazed to see the role of physiotherapy in treating injuries and pain management. This inspired him to study as a physiotherapist.

Ram qualified in 2002 and since then has quickly gained excellent clinical knowledge working both within the NHS and in the private sector in UK and abroad. He has good all round experience working in number of different clinical areas including orthopaedics, neurology, respiratory, musculoskeletal etc both in the hospital  and community settings. He has attended many postgraduate training courses to supplement his skills, and he has a certificate in grade v spinal manipulations.

Ram's main area of interest is in musculoskeletal and sports injuries, and in particular treating back and neck problems, following on from his own personal high level of sports participation, His treatment approach involves dealing with specific problems in the muscle and joint systems with mobilization, soft tissue techniques and exercises, and then ensuring the patient returns to full function and pain free. He gets a great satisfaction from helping his patients achieve their goals and stay active, fit and pain free, whatever their age and physical ability.
