I qualified from Manchester University in 2004 with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy.

My first post was at The Royal Liverpool in the NHS, I worked within Orthopaedics, Acute medicine, Neurology and Respiratory fields.  Promotion to Senior Physiotherapist saw me specialising in Musculoskeletal  treatment.

I now work in a private hospital and have recently begun a Clinical Specialist Role, I work closely with Consultants to triage, diagnosis and management of Spinal conditions. Some of the week I am based on the Orthopaedic  ward which sees me treating  joint replacements, shoulder operations and soft tissue surgery including knee arthroscopies. I then carry a varied caseload in an outpatient department treating all joints.  I am dedicated to providing current evidence based treatment and regularly attend courses.

For 8 years I have worked in private practice. This has involved working with large companies planning return to work, insurance companies and sportspeople returning  to their chosen  field.  I am a member of the AACP and have practised acupuncture for 10 years. I am currently studying for a Masters Degree in Advanced Physiotherapy at Manchester University.

My skills include manual therapy, acupuncture, taping and sports specific rehabilitation.

A keen runner, I regularly complete half marathons and balance this with yoga practice. I am a participant in yoga and Pilates classes I integrate this in my treatment.  I teach a Fit, Back and Bumps Pilates based ante and post natal programme.
